Professional Care

The warm, secure environment with a resident Vet makes us ideal Kennels for the elderly, infirm or young dog.

About us?

Lindeth Kennels is a family business, owned and run by Ann and Tim Boardman. Tim is a local Vet and together, we have owned and bred dogs for over 30 years, so have a wealth of knowledge and experience. You can be reassured that your pet will be seen by a Vet every day.

We are located in the quiet countryside near Bouth, within easy reach of Ulverston, Grange-over-Sands, Barrow in Furness and Windermere. The kennels are set in 3 acres of land, less than 50m from our home, so we are always at hand should there ever be a problem. There are lovely walks from the kennels, along the river or through the woods.

Lindeth Kennels is a new, purpose built building and has been designed and constructed to extremely high standards to give your pets the very best accommodation. The kennels are in an environmentally controlled building, with under floor heating throughout. The kennels are fully ventilated and the resin flooring is non-slip and very easy to keep clean. LED lighting is used to support the natural lighting from windows and doors and a night light system enables us to check your pet without any disturbance at night.

The warm, secure environment with a resident Vet makes us ideal Kennels for the elderly, infirm or young dog. If your dog has any ongoing medical conditions we are happy to administer medications. Please bring enough medication for your dog's stay.

Our philosophy is to care for your pets as if they were part of our own family - which together with our son and daughter's dogs comprises of seven Labradors! All dogs will have the opportunity to go out three times a day for a walk or play, as well as fuss and attention in their kennels. Bedding and food will be provided but you are very welcome to bring your own, so your pet has continuity with home.

We want you to be able to relax while you are away, confident that your pet is content and well cared for.

First walk of the day – a short walk in our grounds with lots of individual fuss and attention.

8am to 8.30am

10.00am to 1.00pm

1.00pm to 3pm
The kennels are left quiet as most dogs naturally sleep at this time of the day.

3pm to 4.30pm

4.30pm to 6pm
Tea time, fresh water and individual attention followed by a chance to go out for “post dinner pees and poos’

Accommodation

We have tried to make our kennels as close to your dog's home environment as possible. They are larger than the regulations require and are light and airy with a good ventilation system. We have music playing and will spend as much time as possible with your dogs. All kennels have underfloor heating to keep them warm during the colder months and a ventilation system for when it is warmer. The doors of the kennels do not look on to other dogs, which help to prevent dogs barking at each other. The resin floors are non-slip and the coving enables effective washing so that no bacteria can build up. The walls are smooth and fully insulated to reduce noise transmission.
